She is a family advocate and has experience working in the school system. Amanda is a two-time recipient of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's ACE Award

 Meet Amanda Smith, the Co-Owner of TheraPlay Group and Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist of Not Just Words. Amanda brings 8 years of experience of compassionate care. She is a family advocate and has experience working in the school system. Amanda is a two-time recipient of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's ACE Award for completing nearly double the required amount continuing education hours. Amanda is dedicated to learning and staying up-to-date in the most evidenced-based research to provide quality and effective care to the families she serves. She is trained in the Play Project techniques for autistic children. 

Her client's often say Amanda is "so much more than 'just' a Speech Therapist." 

 Leah was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and graduated with her Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from Xavier University in 2003. She has a diverse background working with adults and geriatrics in a variety of settings such as Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Home Health. Leah felt prompted to s

She has a diverse background working with adults and geriatrics in a variety of settings such as Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Home Health. Leah felt prompted to serve students and transitioned to work in pediatrics 2014. She is honored to work in a career that is also her passion to listen, educate, and problem solve with families to meet their unique individual needs. Leah is married with 2 children and lives on a small hobby farm with cattle, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and dogs.

 Sara is a pediatric occupational therapist who graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Xavier University in 2019. She has experience practicing in schools, outpatient clinics, and early intervention settings. Sara utilizes a child-led, play-based approach in her therapy sessions to help build upon the child's strength

She loves helping children and their families to build their confidence in themselves to continue growing in a variety of skills both in and out of sessions. When not at work, Sara spends her time playing ultimate frisbee or pickleball, paddleboarding, doing puzzles, or playing board games!
